Cytomegalovirus(CMV) colitis is an important opportunistic infection in immunocompromised individuals.
The clinical symptoms are abdominal pain, diarrhea, colonic hemorrhage and perforation.

Wernicke,s encephalopathy(WE), a neurological disorder caused by thiamine deficiency, is characterized by the triad of ocular symptoms, ataxia, and mental confusion. More than 90% of the cases are observed in chronic alcoholics. Purpose : Tumor lysis syndrome is characterized by hyperuricemia, hyperphosphatemia, hyperkalemia and hypocalcemia due to destruction of tumor cells.
